Chi Sci Scholars attend the 2017 Conference on Undergraduate Women in Physics at UW- Madison!

Four of our female physics majors and I just came back from from the 2016 Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics Conference held at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Despite the fact that CSU physics is relatively small, we had one of the larger contingents at the conference and it is significant that all four of our students attending are African American female students. As I have mentioned in the past, the entire nation graduates roughly 150 African American physics majors each year. Less than 1% of the nation’s physics bachelor degree recipients are African American female. Two of the attendees are Chi Sci Scholars: Ashley Walker and Felicia Davenport!
